“Proud of who you are and where you come from.”
The North American continent is the third largest continent in the world although technically it is a subcontinent of one big super-continent known as the Americas. It exists entirely as part of that continent in the Northern Hemisphere and commonly referred to as North America. It is a vast, rich, bio diverse region covering many temperature climes spanning from the Arctic to the subtropical, comprising 16.5% of the earth's total land area.
This subcontinent is divided into 3 sovereign states and 1 dependent territory of approximately 478 million people that constitutes 6.7% of the world's population.
The flag designs of these countries are quite consistent and symmetrical. They consist of traditional colours, heraldically represented in such a way as to represent the rich values, beliefs and deep historical heritage of the peoples and their culture. This I think serves to emphasize each country's shared history, development and strong connection with the world around them.
Here are a collection of the most requested MAPags.
